I’m Barbra Walters and this is 2020.
It's February y’all and if you are like me, you blinked and January was over. I don’t know where it went, but it’s gone so let’s move forward.I was supposed to write an article this week about looking forward into the market and my predictions on what will happen. This doesn’t seem right to me. We have gone through quite a change with the team from 2019 to 2020 and looking forward it will continue to progress and streamline our process. We want to continue to grow and learn. Honing our craft is a task that never ends in this industry and we look forward to the continued challenge.
We first would like to welcome two very special people to the team: Jess Houser - A teacher of 20 years that decided to make the switch to real estate. She is going to be a killer agent and has already closed her first deal and has another under contract!.
Secondly and very near and dear to our hearts, we welcome Daniel James Runnett, born Saturday the 2nd of February - he's a palindrome baby 02/02/20. We are so happy to welcome him to the Home Sweet RVA family. Although he probably won’t be selling you a house anytime soon, you will definitely see him at a few showings in the near future. His wonderful mom Karen, will try to take the next month or two off to rest and take care of him. I sincerely doubt Karen will be out long, because she is already setting up listing appointments. Jess and I will be taking care of her clients while she is out. I say this because she has already set up showings for us and bugging us about our new listings coming up. We plan to make this a pretty seamless transition for her clients and are truly thankful that we have set up this co-op for times just like this.
When we discuss new beginnings, I can’t help but to look at where we all came from and how much the team has grown and changed in three short years. If you had asked me where I would be after my first year in real estate almost 7 years ago, I could not have imagined where I would be right now. So I just really have to thank our friends, our clients, and our families for helping us with this journey. We have a long way to go, but I am excited for it!
This year, we are going to be moving in a slightly different direction. We want to fly under the radar when it comes to Real Estate. That is how my family has always done it, so why fix something that isn’t broken. Our goal this year is to set up a user-friendly network of our preferred contractors, lenders, and anyone else that could help our past clients make the most out of their homes. We have seen all too often a client struggle to find a handyman or lawn person. We absolutely want to be your first call - whether you bought with us a month ago or five years ago. Be on the lookout for Home Sweet Help! A community for our clients by us. We hope to make not only the buying and selling sides of your experience with us fun and easy, but we want the living part to be fun and easy as well.
